Crafty Card makers challenge...123

We are pleased to be playing along with the Crafty Card Makers this week, the challenge will be open on their blog for two weeks. If you would like to play along with us please check the Crafty Card Maker rules then use the link on the Crafty Card Makers Blog to add your card or if you are not a blogger yet you can e-mail your card to Dorothy as usual Dorothy@woodware.co.uk  and she will post it and add it to the Crafty Card Makers Blog.

This is a fun challenge which you should all try at home. It's 1 - 2 - 3, use 1 stamp, 2 pieces of patterned paper and 3 embellishments.

Here I have used an 8" square scallop white base card and patterned papers from the Tea Dance Collection by Craftwork Cards. Inside the collection pack you get a great selection of patterned papers, Candi, die cuts, 46 sentiments, 24 flowers, 12 message bands and 48 bunting shapes, fantastic!!

On the card I have used my new Bubble Bloom, Christina stamp (JGS307), papers and the Card Candi from the pack. My other two embellishments are Woodware pearls
and self adhesive lace (JL951).

I love the muted colours in this wonderful collection of papers and embellishments

Woodware Challenge - Punches on Parade

Can you count how many punches I have on this card?

It's six! One is hidden. They are super circle punch 830-04 (that's the hidden one), super duper daisy punch 839-10, super birch leaf punch 830-05, jumbo daisy punch 821-01, jumbo circle punch 821-19 and super duper tag punch 839-12
Its a BIG card, A4 folded in half and I've cut the top to make a semi
circle (drew round a plate!)

Both the super duper and jumbo daisy shapes have been cut up so each petal is individual.

My finishing touches are Stampendous flock in chocolate lotto which has been stuck to the jumbo circle and placed in the centre of the flower and a little ladybug from Woodware. The ladybirds are sold in little boxes and there are loads of them (code EMB458).

Woodware challenge - The Great Outdoors

Since I've been designing Christmas stamps and making new card samples with them since February, (soon to be out if not already), I thought this image from an old stamp (2009) might just tick the right boxes for the great outdoors.

The stamp is from the Scottish Wishes set JGCL509 and as you can see the trees make a nice festive background.
The greeting is from JGCL515 Christmas Sentiments, also a 2009 stamp set.

I stamped the trees several times across the card, occasionally not re inking the stamp to give me that faded distant look to give dimension.

The added snowflake punched shapes (821-46) add the finishing touch.

You will find Jane's new stamps here with Francoise's too!

Woodware sketch 25

I'm still in black and white mode and have made a card following the
sketch on the Woodware blog.

I have used JGS300 Going to Seed and the border from JGS267 Grasses.

When stamping on black card I have used water mark ink pad and white embossing powder.
Stamping on white card you use VersaFine black ink with clear embossing powder.
The greeting comes from JGCL519 Essential Birthdays.

The little flowers were left over from a Crafty Edger punch, I never throw anything away!

Here is the sketch in case you fancy playing along..

Woodware guest, The Stampman

The Stampman has challenged us to make a card from stamps and inks only, no background papers or additions. I hope the few little embellishments I have
used on my card are OK!

I have used the clear stamp set JGS300 Going to Seed, black VersaFine ink and clear embossing powder, VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. White linen card and black card were used to create the base card stamping surface.

The small black pearls add a nice little finishing touch to the seed heads.
