While in the USA last summer, I stayed with my brother and sister in law. My sister in law, Jacqui, had motor neurone disease. She had been suffering with this dreadful illness for nearly four years and while I was with them, she sadly passed away.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
During my time with them I drew lots of images for my stamp designs and this image and is a larger than usual stamp set. The code is JGB001.</div>

One of the cards that was on my recent Hochanda show showing my</div>

toadstool stamp JGS554 toadstool clump.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I’ve coloured it with alcohol markers called Graphmaster pens from Creative Expressions.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It looks great with glossy accents on the red dots on the toadstool caps.</div>

who invite you to parties, buy you presents or have you round to stay over the festive holidays.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are not traditional Christmas trees even though the stamp set has been</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
designed as a Christmas one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Its quite modern and you can add so many things to the image.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here I have stamped in black and embossed with clear powder.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then gone over the whole image with faded jeans Distress Ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once that covered all over, I use thin, household bleach to take away the ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Use an acrylic paint brush and here I've painted bleach onto all the circles</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and have given an outline to the trees.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also added extra dots of silver glitter glue.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Add some star gems and ribbon to finish.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you don't want to use bleach, stick some blue or silver gems over the circles.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AQyKhqzRof0/WFEPUgH5UCI/AAAAAAAABPY/l19_KRRZd6Yy7CZIvVRuPMKWIhjANquBwCLcB/s1600/Jane.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AQyKhqzRof0/WFEPUgH5UCI/AAAAAAAABPY/l19_KRRZd6Yy7CZIvVRuPMKWIhjANquBwCLcB/s1600/Jane.jpg" /></a></div>

I just love making these Christmas trees from paper mache cones, Dreamweaver</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
white embossing paste and as many embellishments from my craft stash.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This can include buttons, sequins, gems, beads, card candy and more.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Just spread the paste in small area first, push in the buttons or gems, spread more paste</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and continue till its all covered. Don't be tempted to cover the whole thing</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
with paste because it will start to dry before you have finished.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've used a small sherry glass as my stand and have put some</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
chocolates in the glass as a surprise.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Why not make one for each guest at Christmas lunch with their favourite choccie in the glass.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've used my stamp JGS102 Rudolf and have coloured him in with Copic and the Pointillist technique. It's lots of dots basically.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I like to colour my background with a light shade and use three darker</div>

colours to do the dots. I've added a grey line under the image</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
outline to create a shadow effect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You will need a set of die cut letters and cut up some little squares to fit.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As I don't have any Halloween themed stamps I've made a dinky little</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
gift bag for sweets which you could give away to those trick or treaters.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The finished bag is only about 8cm x 8cm and is made from a piece of orange paper</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that measures 18cm x 11cm. You could make any size you like though.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hopefully the following photos will guide you through the step by step.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decorated the bag with a hand drawn cob web using a Sakura black pen</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and made my own spider. I'm sure there must be a spider die out there.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
For this weeks Woodware challenge I am revisiting an old stamp</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
called English Leaves JGCL566. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It has a selection of six leaves on it, four of which I have used on this card.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have distressed the background, spritzed it with water and blotted the water away.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Some leaves are stamped onto the card and some have been cut out</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and put on with foam pads.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I use a Kaleidacolor ink pad in Autumn Leaves, quite appropriate!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The greeting comes from a Woodware singles stamp JWS003.</div>

Stamp out nine football boots, cut out and arrange over a piece of contrasting card.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
My photo doesn't really show how metallic this background to my card is. Shame!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>But this is what I did.....</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Emboss your image (I used JGS458) with white embossing powder and heat set.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Mix up a teaspoon of hand sanitiser gel with a little</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Dreamweaver Metallic F/X of your choice of colour.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Brush this over your stamped piece and wipe away the excess with kitchen paper.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thats it! Its really easy and very effective.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've coloured in the berries with a marker pen or you could use a white pen.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The mixture you make will colour a few pieces of card so have some</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
spare stamped images ready.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add more powder to the gel to make a darker colour.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just experiment, you can't go wrong.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SxF-CDmv3sc/V9A1F7muK8I/AAAAAAAAB8w/wpXCCsPxyGcZyK0jngEEUsKMpnprON3TACLcB/s1600/IMG_0757.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SxF-CDmv3sc/V9A1F7muK8I/AAAAAAAAB8w/wpXCCsPxyGcZyK0jngEEUsKMpnprON3TACLcB/s640/IMG_0757.jpg" width="460" /></a></div>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Use a wide flat brush to apply the gel</td></tr>

<div style="text-align: center;">
P. S. you will find some extra pictures on <a href="http://wp.me/plrId-4Ic" target="_blank">Woodware Witterings</a> I was fascinated by the technique! Dorothy<br />
