Woodware Challenge - Cats and dogs

This weeks theme is right up my street, cats!
I had an assistant to hold one of my card samples, Merty, not my cat but he visits us everyday and likes to sleep on our sofa!
Merty is holding a card made using white paste through the cat trio stencil from Dreamweaver, code number LM266. Once dry you can colour the paste through the stencil with ink and use a fine tipped marker pen to draw in the tabby markings.
The second card is made using Woodware JGCL506 Forbes and Friends. I have coloured this with marker pens again and a fine tipped brown pen over the top.

Woodware Challenge - Sorry you are feeling blue....

My tropical fish set of stamps JGCL525 has this funny looking fish that has an expression, I think, of someone who really is feeling blue!!
So I have stamped him and coloured him with Copic markers, shaped the fish from the back with a large embossing tool and stuck it on a simple background with silicone glue.
The fish is quite rounded but is difficult to see in the photo.
If you don't have the right greeting stamp then use an alphabet set.
Practise first on scrap paper and then stamp the message onto a separate piece
of card just in case it goes wrong!

Draw in some bubbles with a grey marker pen

Woodware sketch challenge 24

Using JGCL535 Bubble Wreath, yes it's a Christmas stamp, and the circle bubble bauble on the set, I have created a flower out of the image!
Fill the middle with gems and Card Candi and create petals with punched shapes, here I have used a Woodware punch called cherry.
Cut the middle out of the flower and keep the petals attached so it's easy to stick
them round the circle. You will need to punch two shapes.
The background paper is from the Woodware paper
packs 'Forever in Time', called Graffiti.

and here is the sketch that was the inspiration for the card.

Woodware and Crafty Card Makers Challenge..

We are pleased to be playing along with the Crafty Card Makers this week, the challenge will be open on their blog for two weeks. If you would like to play along with us please check the Crafty Card Maker rules then use the link on the Crafty Card Makers Blog to add your card or if you are not a blogger yet you can e-mail your card to Dorothy as usual Dorothy@woodware.co.uk  and she will post it and add it to the Crafty Card Makers Blog.

This card has had some outings recently and has appeared in the recent June issue of CardMaking and Papercraft magazine.
I'm featuring it again here as I really like the background stamp JGS305 gone fishing. It has been inked up with a blue and brown ink pad and I've used the fish
from the main stamp again cut out.
The silver eyelets and string seem to go with the fishing feel of the card.
Use any alphabet stamps you like to create your message if you can't find
a suitable message for Dad.
