Woodware challenge - from our house to yours at Christmas

Using my Woodware stamp set JGS408 three houses, I've created this folk art type Christmas card using marker pens, glitter glue and fluffy stuff.

I punched the heart and hand wrote the words with a Sakura white pen.

I also cut out the windows and stuck some yellow card behind the house image in 3D to create the look of a warm, cosy festive interior.

Don't forget to check out the Crafty Cardmakers blog and play along with us all, we have a prize!

As I don't have any Halloween themed stamps I've made a dinky little
gift bag for sweets which you could give away to those trick or treaters.

The finished bag is only about 8cm x 8cm and is made from a piece of orange paper
that measures  18cm x 11cm. You could make any size you like though.

Hopefully the following photos will guide you through the step by step.

I decorated the bag with a hand drawn cob web using a Sakura black pen
and made my own spider. I'm sure there must be a spider die out there.

Cut paper to 18cm x 11cm
Fold both sides to the middle overlapping a little and
stick together
Fold the bottom up by approx 2cm and fold
the top down about 1cm
Open out the bottom folds so it looks like
his and keep it flat
Cut a small piece of matching paper
big enough to cover the base and stick over the folds
The base finished. Put your hand inside to
open out the bag, fill with treat!

Woodware challenge - Falling Leaves

For this weeks Woodware challenge I am revisiting an old stamp
called English Leaves JGCL566.
It has a selection of six leaves on it, four of which I have used on this card.

I have distressed the background, spritzed it with water and blotted the water away.
Some leaves are stamped onto the card and some have been cut out
and put on with foam pads.
I use a Kaleidacolor ink pad in Autumn Leaves, quite appropriate!

The greeting comes from a Woodware singles stamp JWS003.

Woodware challenge - Sketch 55

This week we have a sketch a bit of a wobbly effort from Dorothy but perfect for this stamp set...

For this weeks challenge I've used JGS477, my football boot stamp set.

Stamp out nine football boots, cut out and arrange over a piece of contrasting card.

Attach the cut out and coloured boot to the corner of the card so it swings around.

I've attached the stamped football boot to the
corner of the card so it swings around.
