Woodware challenge - Travel

For the pirate in your life why not make a nautical card like this.

The stamp used here is from a Woodware set JGCL554 called 'Frigate'.
I've used craft card and have stamped my own background using
the text stamp that comes with the set.

Woodware challenge - Boys and their toys....

A card for trendy teenage boys who love to skateboard, surf or just hang out with friends.
Although these trainers are not exactly a 'toy' they are an essential fashion item
for wearing when the boys are out playing with their toys!

The stamp set is JGS389 called 'sneakers'.
The background has been created with grey, black and yellow ink and the fabulous stencil by Dutch Doobadoo - code 470.715.035. Its also stamped with words from JGS387 graffiti.

The versatile stencil.

Woodware challenge - PINTEREST inspired project

I made a storage sack from a thick study cotton fabric which I had stamped before
sewing together with some of the solid flowers from my stamp
set 'JGS381 Flower Head Selection' and JGS195 Claudia and a Crafters blue ink pad.
As you can see, its a great way to hold a stash of blue ribbon!

Cut two pieces of sturdy cotton fabric 18" x 9".
Stamp one with small flowers and one with the larger flower.
Iron to set the ink so it is permanent.
Sew fabric pieces together along the longest side.
Fold in half (stamped side inside) and sew along long side leaving a 3" to 4" gap.
This will make a tube.
Position tube so seam is down centre. Press seam open. Sew short ends.
Turn right side out through the gap in the seam. Push out corners neatly.
Hand sew gap closed.
Tuck small flower fabric inside large flower fabric.
Fold bottom corner points flat, this will make a square shape.
Sewing through all layers of fabric, stitch across corner of each side about 2" from corner.
Turn smaller flower fabric to outside and fold down inner rim if desired.
