Woodware challenge - House Mouse

These fun little critters are sooooo cute and my verse from JGS365 really says what the mouse is thinking (I think!).
The house mouse stamp is by Stampendous code HMCP05 Cupcake Jump.
Using a tacky watermark ink pad and powdered chalks to colour in the image
keeps it soft and delicate.
Add some pink glitter glue and high and low lights with some Koi colouring brush pens.

Woodware challenge - sketch 43

Here is this weeks sketch

For this weeks sketch I've used my JGS389 sneaker stamp set and
JGS388 sneaker background stamp.
The pair of sneakers have been stamped onto shrink plastic and
make a great embellishment.
The wording is JWS03 and is one of the 'Just Words' stamps from Woodware.
The great thing about clear wording stamps is the fact that you can curve
them to fit around circles like I've done here.

The Mirror Cracked challenge - Shadow box

This week we are joining with The Mirror Crack'd Blog

The theme is Shadow Boxes, and you can see lots of wonderful samples on their blog.

I created this shadow box to display a floral arrangement of my punched paper flowers.

It's about A5 in size with an outer cover of brown card decorated with a single flower.

The frame was made using four pieces of cream card, all the same length (24cm) and two
different widths to fit the size of the card.
You can make any width frame you want as long as the lengths of the four pieces are are all the same and that measurement divides equally by two.

Scoring every two centimetres, the card was first punched along one edge (the shorter edge) of each piece then folded concertina style along the score lines.
The ends of each concertina were woven or slotted into each other to create
the corners to complete the frame.
You will need to stick the corners together with using the first and last folds.

Woodware challenge chosen by Kim - Window Cards

Window cards, aperture cards call them what you like but we all love'em!

The white base card is tent fold with a 10cm die cut hole in the centre of the front.

The front of the card is double thickness card and the circle is die cut
from both pieces at the same time. The second piece of card is kept separate
so I can stamp on it and adhere it to the base card later.

I have stamped the images from my Woodware Grass Stems stamp set (JGCL576) using VersaMark or a Watermark ink pad. With a palette of powdered chalks dust over the top with a small sponge applicator and the chalk will stick to the tacky VersaMark ink. I have used earth tones in golden yellow, green and two shades of brown.
You'll get powdered chalk on the white background too but I like that, its OK.

When the card is propped open the light comes
through the 'window'
...and now for a close up!
