Woodware Craft Canvas

I used my piece of Craft Canvas to make a new lampshade for our guest bedroom.
You will need to make a paper template of the shade shape before cutting the canvas.
The following step by step pictures show you how its created.
I have used two Sizzix dies to make the flowers, the canvas die cuts really well.
Use a Crafters ink pad to stencil and stamp. Its ideal for fabric (and its permanent too!)
The only sewing I did was a simple running stitch along the ribbon to gather it up.
Everything was stuck to the shade with a hot glue gun.

Cutting the canvas shape
Using Crafters brown ink to stencil a background
Stamp an image with the Crafters
A selection of die cut canvas flowers
Edge the die cut flowers with Crafters brown ink
Stick the flowers to the shade with a glue gun adding buttons and beads
Gather a ribbon and stick with....you guessed it...a glue gun!
Add some sparkle with Mica Flakes stuck with the glue gun
The finished lampshade

What a great project. The photo's are really helpful to show each step. Love all the texture and pattern you have created with just the one ink pad too!
