My colour block card was inspired by The Great British Sewing Bee and
that iconic dress from the 60's that the contestants had to make
on the programme. I made my own back then!
I've used my new Woodware stamp JGS477 football boot set and have stamped the boot onto white shrink plastic, coloured it with regular crayons before shrinking with a heat tool.
To make the background first create a sketch of the positions of all the squares and decide what colours they should be. Cut the card to size and some 5mm strips of white card (these separate the colour blocks). Stick down onto a piece of white card and
trim before mounting it onto your base card.
The card I have used had quite a pronounced texture so my black stamping is a little grainy.
If you don't like this look use a smooth card or one thats not so textured.
Always try out your stamp first to see how it looks on the card.
I don't know anything about football so the colours I have chosen are quite random.
But those in the know will be able to use the right colours for the team supported!
