I was sent a stamp and stencils set called NKCRS04 Fiesta from Stampendous.
I used the positive of the ladies head stencil to draw round which I cut out to make the white card shape I needed to create my centre piece.

The elements inside my pack of stamps.
I used Copic markers to colour the skin tone and features
of her face. Using one of the stamps in the set, I used a
Watermark ink and embossed with white powder
her hat and dress. Colour over the top.
Using another stamp I created a background
over an ink piece of card.
Then I sprinkled aged green embossing
 powder and heated from underneath.
Using a Dreamweaver stencil LJ909,
I inked through to colour the edges
of my backing card.
Now my background is ready for
my silhouette.

The finished card. I added detail to her face and hair with a sepia Micron pen.
I also added a feather and some gems to her hat.

Deadline to comment is Sunday, March 29th, Pacific Time. Winners will be picked using random.org and announced Tuesday, March 31st, in the afternoon.

Woodware challenge - accordion card

I have created this accordion card with some thick craft card.
Each square is about 10cm x 10cm.
I used a brayer and some purple ink from the Kalidacolor ink pad called Berry Blaze to make the faded look across the base of each piece of card.
I used the same ink pad to stamp all the individual flowers from my
Flower Head Selection JGS381 stamp set.
When I stamped it, I had all the squares of card in a row to make sure the
images flowed across the finished piece.
Then I added some extra lines with a black Micron pen. Drawing in stems, leaves,
outlines and detail to the flowers.
Colour the leaves in with a marker pan.

Another idea using the same stamp
set. A Versafine Majestic Blue ink
pad was used for this.

Woodware challenge - Pointillist Technique

Another way to colour your stamped images is with the fabulous technique called Pointillist.
It's a way of colouring using dots in different colours to show light, shade and form.

Here I have used JGS401 Bold Blooms - Ruby and
Copic markers in shades of purple and grey.

Just stamp out your image using a black ink pad onto some smooth white card
and start adding dots keeping the brush tip of the pen
quite upright so you get a nice round dot.
I like to start with the lightest colour and then finish with the darker purple.

The background paper is from the new Perfect Prints Woodware 6" x 6" paper pads. This sheet is from a pad called 'Oxford' and its full of greys, blacks, stone and teal colours.

The greeting comes with the stamp set.

You can see the different coloured dots in this close up.

Here is another sample using JGD384 Decorative Dove
