Woodware challenge - Tone on Tone

As red seems to be all the rage in the fashion industry right now, it is said all us ladies should own a red dress! I have used everything red on this weeks challenge.

The Woodware stamp is JGS401 Bold Blooms Ruby.
It's stamped in black and clear embossed onto watercolour card.

I have applied a very washy background using marker pens, paint brush and water.

Once the flower is coloured in and the ink is dry draw in some detail with red pens onto the petals and leaves. The dotty background is made using Copic markers and I have drawn a border around the flower with a marker pen and a fine black Micron pen.
The accents are liquid pearls in red and black.

Woodware challenge - make and use a Masterboard

A Masterboard is a large piece of card, in my case it's 12" x 12" piece of white card, which is stamped with a selection of related images and preferably coloured over with ink pads.
I have embossed my images with white embossing powder
so that they 'pop' out of the background when I ink over them.
You then cut up sections of this card arranging the pieces to create some quick cards.
Then all that's required is some ribbon, maybe a punched border
and of course some glittery accents.

The stamps I have used are all from Woodware in the 'Grasses' collection and a background text stamp JGS302. Greetings from JGCL570 something to say and JGCL569 inspirational verse.

Another selection of cut up pieces from another masterboard
which has been made using pink card and clear
embossing powder with brown ink applied over the top.

Woodware challenge - A bookmark gift

Here is my take on Siobhan's choice for this weeks Woodware blog.

I have used some die cut bookmarks and the PVC bookmark sleeves from Stix2.
The stamp set I have used is JGS381 Flower Head Selection.
The lettering on the first one I hand drew using a black Micron pen and coloured with Sakura Koi markers and treated it like watercolour paint.
The bookmarks are made form a watercolour card so they have nice texture to them.
