Woodware challenge - Green and Pink

Ohhhhh....my favourite colour combination, green and pink.

This is a card I made for a class at Grosvenor House Papers in Kendal.
The theme for that class day was called 'triangle cards'.

I have used one of my big flower heads JGS187 Fiona,  JGS341 mini flowers, leaf quartet JGS342, the verse is from JGS324 and my lovely
Happy Birthday textblock stamp JGS901 to make my own background papers.
The main images are stamped in black and embossed with clear powder.
The flowers and leaves have all been coloured with Tombow pens and I have
used a blender pen to mix the colours.
To create this shaped base card....cut an 8" square from pink card.
Cut the square diagonally in half then score each triangle and fold in half.

The card opened up to show the flower in all its glory.

Woodware Challenge - Buttons

Here is my take on this weeks Woodware challenge....a button picture.

I've used an old stamp and although it has now been retired there are still
some in stock at Woodware.
The stamp code is JGCL517 Hippy Chick.

I made the buttons a while ago and have been waiting for a project
to come along so I could use them.

The buttons are stamped onto different sized punched circles of white shrink plastic and coloured with crayons and powdered chalk. Then heated to shrink.

I have drawn on a piece of 'Fashion Fabric Square' from Woodware. These are 6" x 6" fabric squares of a course weave in a natural finish code number MR14819.
The flower stems are drawn with a green Identi pen and a yellow one for the petals.
Sew the buttons on with embroidery thread and I've added some mini flower buttons too.

Those of you who like sewing might like to embroider the stems and leaves instead.

I have used JGS186 Georgina, JGS901 Birthday Textbox and
JGS574 Just Right for You.
Te background paper comes from Woodware Forever in Time paper pad called Graffiti.
I've coloured the stamped and embossed flowers with marker pens and have
used Liquid Pearls to decorate the dots on the petals.

Woodware challenge - Childs Play

This month Woodware are sponsoring the challenge
over on A Little Bit Crafty the theme is Child's Play
and the challenge is open until the end of June.
So pop over there for some inspiration and to
join in with the challenge!
Here is my take on Child’s Play…

My boys card using stamp JGS167. This clear stamp has the rocket and
the tongue twister on it.
I've made the rocket by stamping the image onto sheet metal and embossing it from the front and reverse. I added texture with the metal embossing tools.
