Woodware challenge...using acetate

I love to make these bows from acetate to decorate presents.
They always stay bouncy and have a wonderful shine.
Depending on how big you want your bow, mine is approx 12cm across, cut some
acetate to 12cm wide by about 20cm long.
Colour it with alcohol inks on one side and stamp a design all over using a
suitable ink pad such as StazOn.
Once dry cut into 1cm x 12cm wide strips, 15 to 16 will do.
Punch a small hole at each end of all the strips.
Take one strip and loop the strip over and and thread both holes onto a big brad. Continue until all your strips are looped over and on the brad. Spread them out evenly in a nice circle and open up the back of the brad to secure.
All you have to do now is decorate your present.

Woodware challenge - Spring Flowers

What could be nicer than a bunch of lovely tulips for spring?
Here is my new stamp JGS336 Burst into Bloom.
I've used TomBow markers to colour in and have used Woodware's nifty
inverted corner punch, code 820-07.
I always like to include a greeting with my stamps but this one has two,
but its inside the card!

Woodware Challenge....Sketch 32

Zentangle inspired leaves on this new stamp JGS323 Leaf Trio make
a great masculine card.
The card front is actually cut at a diagonal to create this weeks sketch and the birthday background from JGS901 makes the panel inside.
The separate leaf, there are more inside the card too, are from JGS342 Leaf Quartet
and the greeting from JGS322 Relatives.
The leaf panel and individual leaves have been stamped in black, embossed with clear powder to act as a resist and inked all over to colour the background.
Liquid pearls comes in some fabulous colours now which I have used to decorate
the detail in the leaves.

a reminder of the sketch for you

Woodware with Crafty cardmakers and morege - Mixed Media

We are pleased to be playing along with the Crafty Card Makers and More… this week, the challenge will be open on their blog for two weeks. If you would like to play along with us please check the Crafty Card Maker rules then use the link on the Crafty Card Makers Blog to add your card or if you are not a blogger yet you can e-mail your card to me as usual Dorothy@woodware.co.uk  and I will post it and add it to the Crafty Card Makers and more… Blog.

I have used the Woodware Craft Canvas to create my mixed media for this weeks blog post.
The stamp is JGS300 Going to Seed which has been stamped onto the canvas using Crafters ink in spiced plum. Once ironed its permanent and then I added embroidery stitches and beads to decorate the image.
The background has been stamped onto the canvas as well and I over stamped the coloured background with JGS302 Vive la Plume. I used the crafters ink again for this.
Its made a pretty picture for a bedroom wall.
