Woodware Challenge - Around the world

This was a challenge and a half.......
As I don't have any stamps with a famous landmark from a big city, I've made this simple card to wish a world traveller 'bon voyage' and hope that it meets the challenge!
I colour copied a picture of the world from a book and mounted it
onto a 148mm x 120mm base card.
The messages are all stamped with Stampendous alphabet sets SSC007 storybook and SSC219 small typewriter. I even managed to make a little paper aeroplane (its only 60mm long) to mount on the card.

Here is a photo showing the little plane, no good for an envelope though!

Woodware Challenge - Lavender and Lace

I just love the new Woodware doilies and on this card I have used a heart shaped one plus another larger one I found in the kitchen drawer! I used the large doily as a stencil and applied ink over the top to colour the background linen effect card. I also coloured the heart shaped doily too with the same coloured ink.
The flowers are made from JGCL572 daisy layers stamped onto papers from the Forever in Time Purple Passion paper pack and cut out. I've shaped them using the floral punch craft techniques and stuck them together before mounting onto the card.
Also on the card are some washi tapes, a punched border using the crafty edger CP43 , Magenta chip board swirls CB613 and a greeting stamp JGCL570 Something to Say on white shrink plastic.

Woodware Challenge - Spring blooms

As I write this we have about eight inches of snow here in West Sussex so thinking
of spring blooms is very difficult!
On this 145mm square card I have used the Woodware crafty edger, a paper doily, shrink plastic, JGCL570 something to say, floral black peel off, Card Candi and Sakura Stardust pens.
The peel off is coloured with the Stardust pens, water and a paint brush and once dry you can add some detail using the same pens. Draw in the border yourself using a fine black marker and a Sakura pen.
The border is a crafty edger cassette and I have punched both sides of
a 60mm wide strip of card.

Woodware Sketch Challenge 21

While demonstrating at a trade show last month I was playing with the new canvas cloth and stencils from Woodware and this is what I came up with.
The tree trunk background is a stencil from Clear Scraps and I have used ColorBox Mix'd Media ink through the stencil in stormy and verdigris. I then stamped some leaves onto white card from JGCL566 using the same inks and clear embossing powder and cut them out. The greeting is from JGS304 Kim's Coppice.
The card is an 8 inches scalloped square one from Woodware.

Just incase you want to play along with us you will find the sketch here

My little warm wooly card in a box, made with Magenta stamps.
