Woodware Challenge - Baby Card

This pretty baby frock card is made from pale pink card and designed to stand as a tent fold. I made the template myself but its a very easy shape to make. Why not try a romper style outfit in blue for boys?

You need a Woodware yellow sized circle punch, the Crafty Edger and a floral cassette, some of the new Woodware wide organza cream ribbon, scallop circle and oval punches or dies, pink ink pads, pink glitter glue and Stampendous alphabet stamp sets numbers SSC007 and SSC125. Pink and cream card.

The card is 14cm wide across the shoulders and stand 15.5cm tall. Fold the card in half and punch out the half circle in the middle. Punch or die cut a scallop circle to fit and cut in half.
Then punch a circle out of the middle to create the collar shape, edge with pink ink and stick to card.

Punch the edges of cream card and cut to fit sleeves and hem, edge with pink ink and stick down. Keep the little flowers from the punched edges.
Wrap the ribbon around the card and tie a bow.

Punch or die cut the ovals, edge with pink ink and stick together. Stamp wording as shown and cut out the word 'baby'. Adhere to ovals with foam pads and stick to the card, decorating with the little left over flowers. Add some pale pink glitter glue to edges, flowers centres and wording.

Woodware Challenge - Bubbles and Bubblegum pink

There are no bubbles on this card but it is certainly pink!
Stamps used here include JGS272 The Hedgerow and JGCL560 Just to Say.
The black swirl peel off is by Magenta and the code is 93330 called Deco Accents.

The image has been stamped several times using pink pigment ink pads, try to vary the shades. The image in the foreground has been stamped in black and clear embossing powder has been used to give it a lift and add some dimension.

I have also used the Woodware white linen card so when you ink the edges of the artwork it picks up the texture.

The background paper is by Magenta.

Woodware Challenge - Heart Felt Wishes

To create this heart shaped piece, draw around your heart die onto deep red card and stick a selection of silver peel offs so the peel offs come outside the edge of your heart outline.

Then run the card and heart die through your cutting machine with the peel offs uppermost, this will give you a very neat edge. This method uses your peel offs in a very economical way.

Die cut a scallop heart from mirror card and stick the two together.

To frame everything I have used some peel off corners and this sheet (Magenta 90840) has a great selection to choose from and add some fine peel off borders from Magenta 90834 to finish it all off.

I suppose you could even make this with red felt as the title suggests!

A leafy sneak peek

Had a wonderful time in LA at the CHA show, great company, great shopping and yes we did do some work too! Now that I'm home its time to get back to work.....

Here is a sneak peek for you girls of two new Woodware stamps of mine
coming out very soon.

I have also used the Woodware sketch challenge to inspire me for this card layout. The panel in the middle is made to look like a canvas, so it is 3D with the image stamped and embossed onto the wonderful Woodware linen card.

I have used lots of Woodware orange sized leaf punches and each leaf is edged with green, brown and red ink. Give the leaves some character by doing the floral punch craft veining technique before sticking to the corners of the 'canvas'.

Woodware sketch challenge

This week it is a sketch over on the Woodare Blog

why not have a go at making a card with it, pop over to the Woodware Blog to find out how?

I've stamped JGCL553 Daisy Dots and embossed with white onto white linen card.

Use Chocolate and Blueberry ColorBox Queue Chalk ink pads and colour the card directly over the white embossed image and wipe away any excess with a slightly damp wipe. Colour flowers with Sakura Stardust pens to match ink pad colours.

Add a little white ink around the background card to give it the 'limed wood' effect. Add a peel off border 93212 to frame the image and a peel off greeting from 94460.

Woodware Challenge - Vintage hearts and love

This is fun and quick to make but there's no stamping!

Punch four squares, I've used some Magenta papers from Woodware. Edge the squares with brown ink and stick to a 148mm square cream base card. Draw a double line border around the squares using a gold Sakura Metallic pen.

Punch two hearts from from brown card using Woodware's funky heart punch 821-52 and one from 830-29 and stick to the squares using foam pads for two and stick one flat.

Peel off a gold bubble heart from peel off sheet 94259 and stick to acetate, cut out and stick glue dots behind some of the large round circles. Stick peel off to the base card.
Decorate with Card Candi and gems. The Card Candi will cover the glue dots!

Finish off with some lace, a greeting from the peel off sheet and the gold circles left behind on the peel off sheet.
